Studio Tuesdays: Air-Dry Clay Floral Mirror

Come spend a Tuesday evening playing with colour and clay as we create our own Air-Dry Clay Floral Mirrors!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to mix and shape colourful air-dry clay into simple flowers, then arrange your pieces around a mirror to create a design that’s completely your own.

No clay experience is needed — this workshop is all about experimenting, getting creative and enjoying the process.

The Project

You’ll be able to mix your own colours, experiment with different flower styles and create as many or as few pieces as you’d like before arranging your final design around your mirror.

Because air-dry clay needs approximately 24 hours to fully dry, your floral pieces will not be permanently attached during the workshop.

Instead, you’ll leave with your mirror and clay pieces safely packed in a take-home box, along with a pair of gloves and permanent adhesive. Once your flowers have dried, simply recreate your arrangement and glue everything into place at home.

Tip: Before packing up, take a quick photo of your finished arrangement so you have an easy reference when you're ready to assemble it the next day!

Colleen has been teaching creative workshops throughout Manitoba for years, welcoming complete beginners and experienced makers into approachable, encouraging creative experiences.
